Mary Barefield
Mary Barefield graduated magna cum laude from Louisiana Tech University and went on to earn her law degree from Loyola New Orleans College of Law, where she pursued her passion for family law. As a student practitioner in the Family Law Clinic, she was awarded the Gillis Long Poverty Law Center Public Service Award for her commitment to social justice. After passing the Louisiana Bar Exam, she worked on a variety of legal issues as a Senior Law Clerk at the Second Circuit Court of Appeal. In 2018, Mary and her husband moved to New York City, where she worked representing low-income parents in child neglect and abuse cases and domestic violence matters. In 2020, Mary and her husband chose to set roots in Texas, close to family. Mary continues to use her skills to assist clients in all aspects of family law cases, including divorces, modifications, and adoptions. She strives to provide clients with the best options available to navigate their case and ensure clients have a voice.
